In the 4th Quarter of 1999, the Family of Companies launched a physician program that allows physician practices to realize significant operational efficiencies and savings that are quantifiable.  This physician program, called Provider Select, is focused on assisting physician practices in significantly lowering operating expenses through a portfolio of national and regional contracts that offer high quality, yet cost effective products and services tailored to the physician market. Nationally, Premier's Provider Select:MD program is the nation's largest physician group purchasing program.


The program offers a guaranteed savings of 10% on medical supplies. However, in many instances, we have documented savings of 30% on these supplies as well as other non-medical products, equipment, and services.

Premier Provider Select:MD members are granted access to the Premier contract portfolio.  The majority of our contract portfolio allows physician office members to the same pricing granted to hospitals.  Exact pricing is based on member volume and purchasing behavior.  Below are some of the key contract categories available:
